MILS Faculty Circle

The MILS Faculty Circle represents a growing network of qualified mindfulness instructors who teach and present on behalf of the Mindfulness in Law Society.

Each instructor brings both depth of practice, teaching experience, and an understanding of the challenges of legal life.

Organizations interested in bringing mindfulness to their legal communities are invited to request a MILS Faculty Circle speaker. Our instructors offer engaging presentations, workshops, and guided practices tailored to your audience’s needs.

Signature Programs

Foundations of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Modified MBSR program. A streamlined, accessible adaptation of MBSR grounded in the established curriculum and designed for busy professionals. Participants learn foundational mindfulness practices through experiential learning and reflective inquiry.

Primary audiences: Lawyers, judges, legal professionals, corporate teams, high-stress professionals
Length: 6-week series (60 minutes/session)

Mindfulness Meditation for the Legal Mind
Navigating the Challenges of Practice & Life with More Ease

Primary audiences: Law firms, law schools, bar associations, judicial organizations
Length: 60–90 minute CLE session; adaptable to half-day programs

Mindful Leadership Skills
Trust and collaboration; how to influence others; how to communicate with insight; how to lead with compassion.

From Reactivity to Resilience

Vitality Series
You Are the Incubator of Your Highest Self

6-week series
6 - 90 minute sessions

This course is for lawyers and law students exploring how to change their minds from stressed out and fearing burnout, to full of vitality, joy and a clear sense of purpose in life and law. We explore concepts from neuroscience and psychology and provide an opportunity to restore vitality that is incubating within, waiting for the right mindset and willingness to bring about change.

  • Week 1: Brain Science, Mindfulness and Self-Awareness – 1.5 hrs CLE

  • Week 2: Discovering Your Values and Strengths - 1.5 hrs CLE

  • Week 3: Our Protective Parts & Saboteurs: Lessons from Positive Intelligence – 1.5 hrs

  • Week 4: Accessing the Body’s Best: Nutrition & Lifestyle Choices for Maximum Vitality - 1.5 hrs CLE

  • Week 5: Living from Your Values and Strengths - 1.5 hr CLE
