MILS 2026

Well-Being Week in Law

MONDAY

Breath and Stretch:

A 30-Minute Gentle Yoga for Well-Being

Join LCLMA's Dr. Tracey Meyers for a gentle 30-minute yoga session designed to restore balance and support overall health.

This practice guides participants through mindful breathing, light stretching, and a gradual awakening of the body—helping to release tension, improve focus, and cultivate a sense of calm.

TUESDAY

Rooting in Kindness

A meditation

Join Karen Munoz, MILS Board Member & Faculty Circle Leader for a powerful meditation to root together, where love and empathy guide our focus. We will begin by connecting our breath and energy to sending love and kindness to ourselves, our loved ones, and lastly, externally at large.

WEDNESDAY

Mindful Joy Management:

Finding Moments of Joy Between Coffee and Chaos

Offered by Kara McCarthy Perry, MILS Faculty Circle Leader & NJ/NY Chapter Chair. This interactive session reframes joy as a practice—not just a feeling—using simple, everyday mindfulness, curiosity, and small shifts in attention. Aligned with IWIL’s “Tending Joy” theme, we’ll focus on how brief moments of awareness, connection, and even a touch of play can bring more ease, clarity, and energy into the workday. Expect practical, accessible ways to “lighten up to level up” with real tools you can use between coffee and chaos.

THURSDAY

Introduction to Mindfulness & MILS

Offered by Lex Firehawk, MILS Co-President & Arizona Chapter Co-Chair. Lex will provide a brief overview of how Mindfulness can be beneficial to your overall well-being and share how MILS is a supportive community for all, whether your new to Mindfulness or a seasoned practitioner.

FRIDAY

Staying Balanced:

Cultivating Calm Amidst Challenges

Offered by Jodi Klagos, MILS Board Member & Wisconsin Chapter Co-Chair. This session includes a short presentation on ways in which mindfulness can be used to find balance in your life, followed by a breath and body awareness meditation.
