MILS Illinois Chapter: Mindfulness Practice for Compassion

10:00-10:30am PT/ 12:00-12:30pm CT/ 1:00-1:30 ET

Please join us this month where special guest, Jill Carnell, Chair of the MILS Indiana Chapter, will be leading a mindfulness practice for compassion. REGISTER HERE.

We will discuss the 4F Trauma Personality Types (Freeze, Flight, Fawn, Fight), based on the work from Pete Walker's book, Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving, and learn how to hold the 4F Trauma Personality Types with compassion.

The 4F Trauma Personality Types contribute to distinct personalities that Harvard Medical School’s Richard Schwartz, founder of Internal Family Systems, identified as "parts". Schwartz noticed that when the more disruptive parts felt safe and had their needs met, they would accede to the wise leadership of the core self. How we relate to our parts is what lays the groundwork for being Self-Led.

Monthly Themes (through September)
