MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK
Sunday, October 4 - Saturday, October 10
This Mental Health Awareness Week, MILS is creating space for learning, and practical tools for well-being in the legal profession by offering brief video recordings created for our 1L Toolkit Pilot Program. Although the video recordings were designed for first year law students, we are opening them to everyone during this week because the things we learn in law school about stress, anxiety, resilience, boundaries, self-awareness, and asking for support don’t stop being useful when we graduate.
We’ve selected the following five video recordings from the 1L Toolkit:
Mental Health Awareness – How to Know When You Need More Support
Fear of Falling Short
When You Feel Like You Don’t Belong
Resilience: Moving Through Setbacks with More Steadiness
Rumination Reduction – Change Your Relationship with Your Thoughts
Whether you’re a law student, new lawyer, seasoned attorney, judge, professor, or another legal professional, there’s something here for you.
We encourage you to take a little time to care for the person behind the legal professional.
A link to the website will be shared on this page on October 4th.
