2026 World Mindfulness Day

September Community Connections

Celebrating World Mindfulness Day!

Saturday, September 12th at 1 1 am ET/ 10 am CT /8 am PT/ 6 pm GMT

‍World Mindfulness Day is a global reminder to slow down, breathe, and bring awareness to the present moment, wherever you are. It’s a day dedicated to cultivating peace, presence, and connection in our everyday lives.

Join MILS for this special event to practice together in community with beloved MILS teachers Artemis Evangelidi (Australia), Maria Bries (U.S.), and Ingrid Benninghoff Prados (Latin America) who will weave body awareness, self-compassion and reflection practices that honor the contemplative roots of timeless mindfulness teachings.

‍As we prepare for World Mindfulness Day, we also recognize that this year's observance falls on Rosh Hashanah, a sacred time of reflection and renewal for many in our community.  In the spirit of mindfulness and inclusivity, we want to honor those celebrating the holiday by making the recording of this year’s offering available to all for 30 days on MILS’ website. We hope this provides everyone the opportunity to participate at a time that is meaningful and accessible to them.

‍ Mindfulness invites us to be present, compassionate, and aware, not only of ourselves, but of one another. It’s the intention of MILS to create spaces where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and supported. We hope that you will join MILS for this special event to practice together as a community.

‍We wish all who are celebrating Rosh Hashanah a sweet, peaceful, and meaningful New Year.
